John and Julie Holloway, owners of the Hiwasse Store, have recently expanded their restaurant seating to accommodate their growing number of patrons. More than just a convenience store with gas pumps, the Hiwasse Country Store is “country cafe” favorite among locals, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner 7 days a week. Their hours of operation are Monday thru Saturday 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sundays, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
“You can find our daily specials on our Facebook Page, along with some of our homemade desserts,” according to Julie. “Our expansion also includes an outdoor patio dining area where customers can enjoy with “live music” while they dine, at least once a week.”
John and Julie also own Pathfinder Transport, a wholesale propane company, and have plans to re-open Tri-State Propane by December 2017. They raise cattle on a farm not far from their store and enjoy living and working in the Hiwasse community.
If you haven't visited the Hiwasse Store yet, you're in for a treat! We're proud to call them our customer and we bankers enjoy dining there, as well!
