Granny’s Simple Blessings is a locally owned and operated bakery with a multi-faceted twist. According to owner, Holly Wallace, her business model was patterned after her grandmother, Dorothy Oliver, who was an excellent cook, seamstress, artist, and pianist--and was even known for being the first businesswoman in Siloam Springs back in the ‘60s. Because of her grandmother’s influence, Wallace’s business was so-named: “Grandma’s Simple Blessings.” Even the recipes must meet the requirement of “simple,” or they’re not used.
Wallace created a niche by providing homemade baked goods including yeast bread/dinner rolls, pies, cinnamon rolls, maple buns, sticky buns and cookies; in addition, she offers busy families home-cooked meals to feed 4-6 people at great prices (pre-ordered at least one day ahead of time).
“I run my business so that it’s a blessing to my customers and a blessing to me,” said Wallace. “God gave me business and I have to do what’s pleasing to him. My hope is that it’s also a blessing to my vendors, renters and all who visit our shop.”
Other on-site facets of the business, reflecting her grandmother’s example, include:
Music Instruction: Instructor, Mandy Query, provides music/violin lessons by appointment only. (479.787.5176)
